60 Thousand Reasons Why Charity Begins At Home
Charities and good causes across the country have scooped up almost 60,000 worth of fundraising and donations courtesy of family-run construction firm the Seddon Group.
There have been no limits to the lengths the large Seddon team will go to to raise money for their nominated beneficiaries, from trekking around Kenya to marathons to charity quizzes, and these efforts have resulted in 60,000 being donated to various organisations, from schools to hospitals to charities over the last two years.
Rod Sellers, Seddon Group Chairman, says: We are very proud of our staffs unfaltering commitment to fundraising, which every year seems to produce bigger and better results for the chosen causes.
As a socially responsible company, we continually strive to find new ways of supporting organisations that are close to our heart, and this fantastic figure proves just how dedicated our team are to raising as much vital cash as possible.
2008 kicked off with a mammoth effort from Jonathan Seddon who raised 10,000 running his first ever London Marathon, and this trend is set to continue with a programme of events planned throughout the year. Lucky charities and good causes have included The Christie Hospital in Manchester, a range of schools, Comic Relief and Race for Life.
